The FACES of Canada's Seniors

Canada is home to over 6 million seniors Our governments are not ready to meet the needs of this rapidly growing population. CARP’s 320,000 members are fighting for action in 5 key areas.

We call our plan The FACES of Canada’s Seniors: Making Canada the Best Place to Age.

Our FACES Initiatives

Financial Security

Most seniors are at risk of outliving their tax deferred savings. CARP is fighting to give you more control over your retirement savings and protect your pension.

Abuse Prevention

1 in 3 CARP members know an older Canadian who has been abused. Our governments need to do more to protect vulnerable seniors.

Caregiving and Housing

We all want to age at home. To make that a reality, we need quality care, and safe, accessible housing. It’s time for the government to help Canadians with the true costs of aging at home.

Exceptional Health Care

By 2030, 23% of Canadians will be over age 65. Our overburdened healthcare system isn’t ready to meet our needs as we age.

Social Inclusion

Loneliness is as lethal as smoking 15 cigarettes every day. CARP is the voice of social inclusion for older Canadians.
